Yin Yang
The Yin Yang symbol represents unity and duality. Yin is often symbolized by water and earth, while yang is symbolized by fire and wind.
It can be referred to as the Law of Polarity. Everything has its pair of opposites. Everything that exists on this universe is the balanced on the principle of Yin and Yang. They depend on each other. Without night, there is no day, without hot there is not cold. It makes possible the choices we make on the scale of life between good and evil, right and wrong, love and fear, generosity and greed, truth and lies.
The black spot represents yin and the white spot represents yang. They are opposites of each other.
Yin: Feminine, Dark, Cold, Passive, Night, Moon
Yang: Masculine, Light, Hot, Active, Day, Sun
Yin and Yang is the changing combination of negative and positive which keeps the world spinning and creates 'Qi' ? the life force energy.
What happens when there is an imbalance between Yin and Yang? This imbalance will cause fatigue, lack of motivation and so on. When they are balanced they perform perfect harmony but one element is more dominant than the other then disharmony occurs.
It is a foundation theory for Feng Shui which balances your environment at work to create harmony in your lives as well as for health.
